Extending the Care

Dear friends,

It's tough to see the situation in Myanmar continue without the global spotlight it deserves. It seems like the longer these crises go on, the harder it is to keep the world's attention. But just because the headlines aren't buzzing doesn't mean things are getting any better over there. In fact, it's quite the opposite—the situation is as critical as ever.

Here at Better Burma, we've felt the impact of this shift. Our ability to help those in need is getting tougher by the day as our funds start to run low. It's a hard truth that when the world looks away, those in power feel free to do as they please without fear of consequences.

Despite this, the spirit of resistance in Myanmar has been incredible. Social media and the sheer determination of young activists have kept the flame of awareness alive much longer than usual. But even with this incredible effort, we're starting to see signs of global fatigue setting in, and that's when things get even scarier for the people on the ground. The military's response has been brutal, with an increase in violence that's hard to comprehend.

We're so thankful for everyone who's supported our work up to this point. Your generosity has been a lifeline for many. But the fight isn't over, and now more than ever, the people of Myanmar need us to stand by them. They're fighting tirelessly for their rights and a chance at a better future, and they need all the support they can get.

We're reaching out to ask if you'd be willing to help us keep going. Every little bit helps, whether it's a small one-time donation or if you're able to join us with a regular contribution. It's all about sticking together and supporting the incredible courage and resilience of the Burmese people.

Let's come together and keep the support going strong. With your help, we can continue to make a real difference and support Myanmar's journey towards freedom and democracy. Thanks for considering, and for all the kindness you've shown so far. Let's keep that flame of support burning bright!
