Inspiring Education

Our local team recently had the privilege of visiting monastic schools, where we had the opportunity to provide valuable support. We are extremely grateful to our generous donors who made this possible. However, it's important to highlight that there is an ongoing need for assistance in these schools. To ensure the safety of everyone involved, we have omitted specific names and locations. If you feel inspired to contribute and help these monastic schools continue their vital work of delivering classes and education, we kindly invite you to consider making a contribution of any size. Your support will make a significant difference in the lives of these dedicated students and teachers.

1) — Monastic School of Orphanage

The total number of students is 250, but 173 students live in the school compound and the school provides meals and accommodation for those students. Some of them are orphanage children. The rest of the students come from Shan state, Sagaing and Bago Region. The total number of the teachers is 18. It opened in 2015-2016. The school was founded and run by its young leading monks. We contributed 10 sacks of rice to this orphanage house along with the personal hygiene items such as 100 bottles of detergent, 50 big packs of shampoo and 100 big packs of sanitary towels for its boarding school girls.

2) —- Monastic School

The students are from villages and over 300 students are enrolled yearly. The school is free of charge for all students and 10 teachers are working in it. We mainly contributed stationeries to this monastery.

3) — Monastic School

— School has been providing free education to students. There are over 430 students studying and 12 teachers working. We contributed stationeries for this monastery.

4) — Monastic School

—- Monastic School, founded three decades ago in 1991, provides more than 10,000 students with free education for several years. Due to the current political situations since the military coup in 2021, there has been a dramatically increased number of boarding students in this reputed monastic school. Before the pandemic and coup, there was always about 1,000 boarding students including several children from different ethnic groups and from the families impacted by the Nargis Cyclone in 2008. During the pandemic, the number of boarding students necessarily had a decline to 300 and now again it has increased up to 500 including about 200 novices. Therefore, we donated 10 sacks of rice and stationeries.
