Helping Teachers in Hiding

A kindergarten teacher still committed to CDM, who we have provided some of your donation to, tells her story.

“We have 30 workers at my school and 17 of us, including the principal, joined the CDM movement. There is pressure from every direction: making us sign forms we don’t know, not paying us for months, and threatening to jail us. Now, only 10 of us are left and I’m the only one from the elementary teachers. I joined CDM because I’m a teacher and it is my duty to stand for what is right. I believe that the people want our elected civilian government and I want to help. I’m ready to go back to work when our civilian government is restored. This is because the children’s future will be good under the civilian government. I haven’t been paid for so long so I’m not sure how long I can go on strike.”
